Biography of Pastor Norris E. Mills
Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, KY
Pastor Mills has been preaching and teaching the Word of God for over two decades. Born in August 20, 1970 Hopkinsville, Kentucky. In October 1980 he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. At the age of nineteen he accepted the mandate from God to proclaim His Word. In June 1992 he was ordained under the Pastoral leadership of the late Pastor Henry C. Ligon.
In August 1994, Pastor Mills was called to serve as interim pastor of Virginia St. Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, KY. In March 1995, he was called to St. John Baptist Church, Murray, KY and served as pastor for 5 years. In February 2000, he was called to Eastview Baptist Church, Madisonville, KY and served as pastor for 6 years. In June 2006 he was called to Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, KY where he presently serves as pastor.
He attended Hopkinsville High School and graduated in May 1989. After graduating from high school, he went to Blackburn College, Carlinsville, IL where he pursued a degree in Elementary Education and played football. After three years at Blackburn, he transferred to American Baptist Theological Seminary, Nashville, TN and graduated in May 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible Theology with a minor in Social Science.
Pastor Mills is the son of Minister Deborah Baker. He is blessed to share each day of his life with his wife Dawn. He is the father of two sons, Micah and Jaron Mills; and stepfather of three daughters, Brianna, Emauntee, and Amyia.
